Kenya Police FC Bolster Defence with Burkina Faso International Christophe Ouattara
FKF Premier League champions Kenya Police FC have strengthened their squad ahead of the new season after completing the signing of Burkina Faso defender Christophe Ouattara from Rahimo FC.
The highly-rated centre-back arrives in Nairobi with valuable experience from Burkina Faso’s top flight and international football, having represented his country at the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Ouattara’s move will also see him reunite with fellow Burkinabé international Yves Koutiama, who already plays for Kenya Police FC. The duo developed a strong understanding while representing Burkina Faso at the CHAN tournament, and the club will be hoping that chemistry translates seamlessly into the heart of their defence.
The signing underlines Kenya Police FC’s ambition as they prepare to defend their FKF Premier League title while also competing on the continental stage. With CAF competitions demanding depth, quality and experience, Ouattara is expected to provide defensive stability and leadership at the back.
Rahimo FC, one of Burkina Faso’s most respected clubs, has been known for developing talented players, making Ouattara’s arrival another significant addition to the Kenyan champions’ squad.
Supporters will now be eager to see how quickly the defender adapts to Kenyan football as Kenya Police FC continue strengthening their squad in pursuit of domestic and continental success during the 2026/27 campaign.
